Our adventure began with a day in Auckland before flying to Christchurch, where we hopped on the scenic train bound for Greymouth. The train ride turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. After reaching Greymouth, we picked up a rental car and proceeded to explore the enchanting landscapes of the South Island, completing a full circle before departing from Christchurch.
I highly recommend the scenic train experience, especially the route to Greymouth. Additionally, we discovered the charming town of Tekapo, where the locals amusingly pronounce it as "Take A Poo." Not only did this add a fun element to our journey, but Tekapo also boasts a fantastic observatory that added a touch of wonder to our New Zealand adventure."
